Speaker Event - How to Raise an Adult with Author Julie Lythcott-Haims

We are delighted to welcome Julie Lythcott-Haims to speak with our community!  In her recently-published book, How to Raise an Adult, Ms. Lythcott-Haims draws on research, on conversations with admissions officers, educators, and employers, and on her own insights as a mother and as a student dean to offer practical strategies that underline the importance of allowing children to make their own mistakes and develop the resilience, resourcefulness, and inner determination necessary for success.  Dean Julie, as she was known at Stanford, will speak to CHS students earlier in the day; we encourage parents to come and hear what she has to say.

WHEN Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM (PST) - Add to Calendar WHERE Cupertino High School - 10100 Finch Avenue Cupertino, CA 95014 - View Map

Dear Cupertino Parents,

As you may remember, Fremont Union High School District (FUHSD) will be administering an online parent survey in order to gather feedback from parents regarding their experiences with Cupertino High School. FUHSD is gathering this information to improve education and services for our students. The survey is being administered in partnership with Hanover Research, an independent research firm based in Arlington, Virginia.

There was a slight delay in the launch of the survey however next week Hanover Research will be sending an email to you with a link to the parent survey.  This online survey should take less than 15 minutes to complete. Your responses will remain completely anonymous, and results will be reported in aggregate form.

Thank you in advance for your participation!

Hey Tino,

Did you know that although people rarely donate new socks to the homeless, socks are the number one clothing article they need?

Interact is holding a sock drive this week (2/8-2/12). Please donate NEW socks to donation boxes in the quad and in Mr. Yeh's room (117).

Interact will be collecting these socks from the boxes and including them in care packages for the homeless. If you would like to learn more about Interact and ways to get involved, please feel free to come to any of our meetings! Meetings are every monday at lunch in the Wagon Wheel.

The following pun may SOCK, but thank you for helping make our Sock Drive SOCKcessful!
