Important Safeway Change to eScrip Program

Effective November 1st, purchases made at Safeway using a credit card will no longer generate eScrip contributions towards our school. All other forms of payment (Debit Card, Check, Cash, Fast Forward Debit Card, SmartCheck, Gift Card, WIC, CalFresh) will continue to earn money for CHS. You may still pay for your groceries with a credit card, but your purchases will not generate contributions for Cupertino High School.

For more information regarding the eScrip program at CHS, please contact Tamra Renfrow or go to for complete details.

Support CHS with eScrip!

eScrip Program

Not yet registered with eScrip? Simply go to to register your Safeway, credit and debit cards and select Cupertino High ASB, #6499420 as your group.  It's free, safe and easy!  Cupertino ASB will receive contributions from participating merchants when you register and shop with them (our largest contributor is Safeway, so if you already shop there, make it count for us by registering your Safeway card!).  Our goal is to reach 1,000 supporters this year to bring in more money. Encourage your relatives and friends to register, too!

For more information regarding the eScrip program at Cupertino High School, please contact Tamra Renfrow or go to for complete details.

More student programs to come!

Please stay tuned for some of the following programs :
  • Career OPtions

COPs is a series of monthly seminars focused on a career option. A panel of two to three speakers from a given career field provide their perspectives to the students. The seminars are open to all students. We need parent volunteers to help in identifying and organizing panels and bringing speakers. If you can be a speaker or can help with this program, please see the volunteer form or contact Vandana Agarwal.

  • Job Shadow

In 2012-2013, students had an opportunity to explore the Executive Briefing Center and saw the Telepresence technology at Cisco systems headquarters in San Jose through a job shadow experience. If you are willing to organize an event at your company and inspire our students with exposure to the products and business of your company, please get in touch with PTSA through volunteer form or contact Vandana Agarwal to discuss your idea and timeline.

Many local companies offer matching donations to school organizations. Some companies match only cash donations while others will also donate cash to match your volunteer hours contributed to the school. If you are considering or have already made a donation to the Cupertino High School PTSA, please check to see if your company will match it. We have received matching gifts from the following companies in the past:

Applied Materials

Microsoft (volunteer hours & $'s)
San Disk
Western Digital

If you are applying for a matching gift from one of the above companies, you may find us listed under either Cupertino High School PTSA (or PTA) OR PTA California Congress of Parents Teachers & Students, Inc. depending on what documentation was required at set-up with your company. If the latter, please be sure that you have the correct address as listed below as many PTA's in our state are registered under this name. Be aware that there are several organizations at Cupertino High School that benefit from corporate matching. We all share the same address, but the names are slightly different and the EIN/Tax ID is different. It is important that you choose the correct one.

If your company is not on the above list, check with the HR department (in most cases) at your company to see if it has a matching donations program. Cisco, Google and Intel are some that we are aware of. If they do, complete the requirements your company has in place for matching gifts. You may need the following information:

Employer Identification Number (EIN) or Federal Tax ID #:
Organization Name:
California Congress of Parents
& Teachers, Inc.
Cupertino High School PTA
Organization Address:
10100 Finch Avenue
Cupertino, CA 95014
408 366-7300
408 255-8466
Kim Zea/Treasurer

If you have any questions regarding matching gifts for the Cupertino High School PTSA, please contact Kim Zea.
