    Attention Cupertino Students and Parents! We need your help! Please follow the directions below in order to sign up!

    Students who wish to volunteer during school hours, Friday the 5th, will need to obtain a field trip form from Mr. Cryan, Room 215, to be able to be excused from their classes. Questions: contact Mr. Cryan:

    Job Shadow Program Announcement and Parent Information Meeting

    The Cupertino High School PTSA is excited to introduce a new job shadow program for our students. This program is sponsored by PTSA and free for all students.


    Job shadow – a brief overview:


    An engineer? a doctor? a lawyer? a research scientist? a chef? A principal? a reporter? a dietician? A teacher? …. not sure? your student in a dilemma?  The job Shadow program offers an opportunity to start exploring possible careers. 


    A brief overview of the Job Shadow Program:

    • Students are placed in actual workplace of their hosts
    • Start to identify possible career interests
    • Gain an awareness of the academic, technical, and personal skills required for jobs. 
    • Exposes students to careers they may have never considered.
    • Categories that could be offered*:  
      • arts. media. & communication
      • business & information systems
      • engineering industrial technology
      • health services
      • natural resources & environment  
      • social, human & public services

    *Note: subject to availability of ‘Hosts’.


    The presentation will provide information on how the program works for students, application process, host requirements, jobs available, timeline and the support required from parents.

    The Eating Disorders Resource Center in Los Gatos is holding their annual writing contest to spread awareness about body image and the beauty standards created by social media culture. Students in grades 6-12 are asked to create a poem or write an essay (in English or Spanish) answering one of the following questions: What do you love about yourself?, Why should others 

    love and accept themselves?, or How does the media affect body 



    In addition to having a chance of winning up to $300 in cash, winners will also have their work published on the Eating Disorders Resource Center's website.
